About the Company
Brockmiller Construction, established in 1985, specialized in building custom homes featuring arch-top windows, multiple fireplaces, and custom built-in cabinets. After retiring from the original business, Steve Kiefaber transitioned into woodworking as a hobbyist. He now has his own wood shop, where he continues to craft custom trim and designs, utilizing Williams & Hussey products to complete his projects.
The Challenge
Brockmiller Construction frequently needed intricate, custom trim for high-end projects. Standard lumberyard trims and pre-made window company offerings were often unsuitable or expensive. While a local shop with an older Williams & Hussey molder was an option, outsourcing proved costly and unreliable. Steve needed an in-house solution capable of producing precise, custom trim and molding to maintain quality and efficiency.
The Solution
Steve introduced a Williams & Hussey Molder to Brockmiller Construction after seeing its potential at a woodworking show in Collinsville, Illinois. The molder’s ability to create both standard and custom profiles gave him the flexibility to produce detailed trim in-house. Later, when he transitioned into hobbyist woodworking, he purchased his own Williams & Hussey Molder, which remains a key tool in his shop today.
