Description

Gentle Arch Molding for Unified Spaces

This profile knife is ideal for creating gentle visual connections in your trim work. It balances classic elegance with modern restraint for a highly adaptable look.

Cutting Sequence Tip:

When using W&H bottom knives (angle cuts), mill the bottom profile first. Then switch to the top profile knife, flip your stock over, and cut the top profile.

TIP: Before milling the top profile, make a couple of guides to hold the back-angled cuts in place for accuracy.

Purpose

  • Curves over surface junctions for a clean, blended appearance
  • Softens the line between horizontal and vertical planes
  • Adds understated beauty and architectural definition
  • Useful in both bold and minimal design themes

Common Usage

  • Ceiling Transitions: Frames the perimeter where ceiling meets wall for a smooth, graceful connection
  • Cabinet Finishing: Bridges the space between cabinet tops and ceilings in kitchens or built-ins
  • Baseboard Layering: Can be added above flat base trim to increase visual complexity
  • Staircase Walls: Offers continuity and decoration along stair angles or landings
  • Wainscoting Caps: Completes decorative paneling with a soft, arched upper detail
