The Variable Feed and Multi-Pass Conversion Kit transforms older W7 and W7PF Williams & Hussey molders into high-performance machines with features found in today’s models.

This complete conversion provides:

• Power infeed
• Power outfeed
• Adjustable variable feed (0–19 feet per minute)
• Multi-pass capability

The result is greater control, improved surface finish, reduced stress on the machine, and increased production flexibility.

Complete System Conversion

The Variable Feed and Multi-Pass Conversion Kit is not a replacement part. It is a full system upgrade.

The kit includes all components required to convert a W7 or W7PF molder to variable feed and multi-pass operation, including:

• Vari-Feed Drive Motor
• Control Panel Assembly with Start/Stop, Emergency Stop, and Feed Rate Potentiometer
• Vari-Feed Chain and Sprocket Kit
• Multi-Pass Kit with Green or Yellow Rolls

All new components must be installed. Existing parts are removed during conversion.

Variable Feed Control (0–19 FPM)

The Vari-Feed system allows operators to adjust feed rate from 0–19 feet per minute while running stock.

Lower speeds are ideal for:

• Hardwood
• Deep or wide cuts
• Curved profiles
• Reducing chip-out and tear-out

Higher speeds improve throughput for shallow profiles and softwoods.

Multi-Pass Capability

Multi-pass allows light, controlled cutting passes to improve finish quality and reduce chatter.

Benefits include:

• Cleaner finish
• Reduced tear-out
• Less machine stress
• Greater accuracy on complex profiles

The system is designed to take light passes up to 3/16″ above finished stock height for improved performance.

Power Infeed & Outfeed Upgrade

This kit converts hand-feed or power-infeed-only machines to full power infeed and outfeed operation.

The included swing arm assemblies and feed rollers provide stable, consistent stock movement for improved finish and productivity.

Important Compatibility Information

The Variable Feed and Multi-Pass Conversion Kit is compatible with:

• W7 molders
• W7PF molders
• Older single-phase models

Not compatible with:

• Current 206/209 molders
• Variable feed machines already equipped with multi-pass

The Variable Feed and Multi-Pass Conversion Kit is a complete system conversion. Individual components will not provide full functionality.

Customers should verify electrical configuration before ordering. If you are not comfortable with electrical installation, Williams & Hussey recommends consulting a licensed electrician for proper wiring and code compliance.

Lead Time

Because this is a complete system conversion kit with multiple assembled components, customers should expect approximately one week lead time prior to shipment.
