Description
Shaper Heads
Shaper heads for molders, also called cutter heads, are the rotating tool that holds interchangeable knives or cutters on a woodworking molder or shaper. Shaper heads cut decorative profiles, edges, and complex shapes like door frames, crown molding, or cabinet trim onto wood for producing consistent, high-quality millwork.
These heads mount onto a vertical spindle. Swap knives out quickly to create different profile, using straight knives or profiled knives for curved finishes.
Compatible with Leading Molder & Shaper Brands
Williams and Hussey offers a specialized head that allows their proprietary knives (normally used in W&H molders) to be mounted on other brands of molders or shapers. This shaper head for molders acts as a compatibility bridge between W&H knives and non-W&H machines (Extrema, Weinig, Wadkin, SCMI, Mikron, US Concepts).
Knives must be drilled to accept 3/8″ bolts. Standard 4″ and 6″ shaper heads are manufactured with a 1-1/4″ bore. Shaper heads with larger bore sizes can be quoted upon request.
