Constant Speed Gearbox Subassemblies for Williams & Hussey Molders
Williams & Hussey constant speed gearbox subassemblies are internal replacement parts found in constant speed molders. These assemblies include the primary, drive, and secondary shaft assemblies that control the feed system inside the gearbox.
If your machine is having feed issues such as rollers stopping, hesitating, or jumping, the problem could be worn brass gears inside the gearbox.
These subassemblies are NOT compatible with variable speed molders.
When Should Subassemblies Be Replaced?
The most common signs of worn constant speed gearbox subassemblies include:
- Feed rollers stopping during operation
- Rollers jumping or slipping
- Inconsistent feed rate
- Audible clicking or grinding from the gearbox
- Visible wear on brass gear components
If you open your gearbox and see visible wear on the brass gears, replacement of the subassemblies is recommended.
