Williams & Hussey Gearbox Oil for constant speed molders is specifically formulated for use in Williams & Hussey machines to protect internal gearbox components. This high-quality mineral gear oil (600XP 460 equivalent) guards internal gearbox gears, bearings, and seals from heat, friction, and premature wear.

Using the correct oil is essential to maintaining performance, extending equipment life, and preventing costly repairs.

Designed for Constant Speed Molders Only

This gear oil is used only in constant speed models. Variable speed (vari-feed) molders do not require gearbox oil.

Compatible with: W7, W7PF, W7S, 154, 154CE and other constant speed Williams & Hussey models.

If your molder has a silver fill cup on the gearbox, it is a constant speed model and requires oil.

Why Proper Gearbox Oil Matters

Inside the gearbox are three critical gears that drive the feed system through the shaft subassemblies. Without proper lubrication:

• Gears overheat
• Bearings wear prematurely
• Seals break down
• Subassemblies become damaged
• Complete gearbox replacement may be required

Not using the proper oil or failing to maintain oil levels can result in burned out gears and bearings.

Proper Filling & Maintenance Instructions

The gearbox holds approximately 2 oz. of oil.

To fill properly:

1. Locate the silver fill cup on top of the gearbox.
2. Add oil until it stays visible in the bottom of the cup.
3. Do not overfill.

Overfilling will cause oil to seep out during operation.

We recommend:

• Checking gearbox oil for constant speed molders daily before starting the molder
• Topping off before extended use
• Checking periodically throughout the day during heavy production

Never allow the gearbox to run dry. Lack of oil will cause excessive heat and wear.
